The Wheelchair Monologues

The Wheelchair Monologues

Written by and starring Gearóid Ó Cairealláin

'The Wheelchair Monologues' is Aisling Ghéar's one man show, in which Gearóid Ó Cairealláin takes a look back over the ups and downs of his life since suffering a haemorrhagic stroke at the age of forty-eight. Now wheelchair bound, Gearóid's life, once extremely active -having founded the Irish language daily newspaper Lá and co-founded both An Cultúrlann and Raidió Fáilte - has slowed down somewhat. However his domitable spirit and zest for living remains undimmed. This is theatre that will inspire you, move you and have you in peals of laughter!
